Meet and Greet

Derrick and I got to talking to the Tour Manager ~ leave it to Derrick
to find someone in charge within 10 min of being here ~ and after
about 20 min of chatting he gave us back stage passes to meet all the
dancers!

Get cozy

I asked Sawyer to get cozy on the couch so he could watch a little
Curious George before bedtime (hoping he'd start to close his eyes a
bit). "Silly Mommy," as Sawyer would say. Can you really expect a guy
to cuddle up on the couch with his blankies when something so exciting
as Curious George is on? He sat in perfect movie watching posture for
the whole episode.

Happy Anniversary!!!

Happy 4th Anniversary!

In the past 4 years we've:

-lived in 4 different apartments

-made 3 cross country moves

-had 2 little boys

-bought our 1st home,

-and grown closer with each adventure :)

Sawyer's new ride

Our neighbors were selling this at their garage sale. He's almost too
big for it, but he loves it so much he'll manage to squeeze himself in
for as long as he can.

Where'd Spencer Go?

Sawyer wanted to play hide and seek with Spencer, so I hid him among
all the stuffed animals. I sat next to him on the bed while Sawyer
looked all around his room. It only took about 2 min for him to find
Spencer, but it was funny to watch him search all over.

5 Months Old

Spencer is 5 months old today!

He is busy learning to roll over, sit up, grab toys and bring them to his mouth, hold his own bottle, and keep up with big brother Sawyer.

This month his two bottom teeth came in without too much discomfort. He caught his first little cold from Sawyer, but that didn't seem to phase him too much either. The peach-fuzz blonde hair, blue eyes, and left dimple are still the features everyone notices first.

He loves to grab at anything within reach and bring it to his mouth, watch Sawyer run, jump, and play, and play in his bouncy chair.

He smiles and gets excited when I ask him, "Would you like some milk?". Usually he is in his swing, which is in our kitchen, and gets very excited once he sees the drawer open with the empty bottles in it. From the time I pull out a bottle to the time I lift him out of the swing to give it to him, he is kicking his legs wildly and batting at the toys attached to the swing. If the prepared bottle ever gets out of his line of sight he cries instantly, but as soon as he can see it again he stops.

He laughs whenever he is tickled under the arms, at silly faces, and usually whenever Sawyer plays with him. We love our little buddy!

2 and 3/4 years

Sawyer is 2 and 3/4 years old today!

He is a very energetic, talkative, creative, and caring "big" boy. He tells great stories, makes up fun games, and is always checking on things. Anytime Spencer is sleeping he wants to check on him. After sawyer loads the sodas into the fridge he has to check on them repeatedly throughout the day to be sure "Daddy's sodas are getting cold," and he always wants to check on anything I'm cooking in the oven or microwave.

Some of his recent conversations:

Me: "Sawyer can you go say something nice to Spencer so he'll stop crying"

Sawyer: "Hi Spencer baby. I like your hair today, it looks really nice."

Sawyer: "What's that noise?"

Me: "It sounded like the garbage truck."

Sawyer: "He comes to take away all Spencer's poopy stinkys from the garbage."

_

Me: "Sawyer, guess what? Dad said we could get smoothies on the way home."

Sawyer: "Wow! Two big thumbs up dude for smoothies!! I'm to get a strawberry smoothie and mom will get a caramel latte smoothie."

Me: "What are you doing Sawyer?"

Sawyer: "I'm to get my step stool to put in my closet to make steps for my castle."

Me: "Ok, just be careful."

Loud crash

Sawyer: "Don't worry I'm Ok."

Sawyer loves...

his step stool- he carries it all around the house to reach things even if he can already reach them

All in all he is a pretty great 2 and 3/4 year old boy!
