Happy Anniversary!

Today is our 5th Anniversary!

We celebrated last weekend by going to a Cirque de Soleil show here in State College. The show was amazing, and our neighbors were amazing for offering to watch the boys for us. After 5 years of marriage, 4 cross country moves between 3 different states, and raising 2 boys we've had an incredible adventure!

Duluth Visit

After spending some time in Hayward, WI we drove up to Duluth, MN to visit Grandpa Ron and Grandma Barb. This was Spencer's first visit to Duluth since we didn't make it last summer. We had a great time walking around the waterfront, watching for boats, and throwing rocks into Lake Superior. We also made it to some playgrounds, did some shopping, and visited Grandpa's office.

Grandpa Ron explaining how the lift bridge works.
Neither of the boys liked the horns the bridge and ships used to communicate with each other. Sawyer made Grandpa help cover his ears.

Spencer loved climbing around all the anchors.

Pretend Veggies

I heard the boys laughing in Sawyer's room so I had to see what was
happening.

Me: "What are you guys doing?"
Sawyer: "I'm grilling some cauliflower and Spence keeps taking it off
the grill that silly goose goose."

It's hilarious that they'll cook and eat pretend veggies, but not real veggies :)

Hayward Trip

The boys and I got to spend a week in Hayward with the Strubs, Bruners, and surprise visitor Bucky Badger! We had a great time fishing, tubing, waterskiing, grilling out, and an intense game of spoons. Thank you Bruners for inviting us to join you at the lake!

Larson cousins

Brian and Sara hosted a cookout for us at their new house in Woodbury. Andy, Kate, and kids, and Grandma Barb and Grandpa Ron were able to come also. The boys loved seeing all their cousins - thanks for having us over!

L-R: Teddy, Cecilia, Elena, Henry, Jake, Sawyer, and Spence (on an important call) - I am still amazed that we got a picture with every kid looking up at one of the cameras that was flashing.

The boys are back

The boys were so excited to have Daddy time again - playing ball on a
perfect Saturday afternoon.

Berkeland family photos

The first Friday we were in town we went over to Jon and Kelsey's to see their new home and their new puppy Cliff. Then we went to Uncle Donn and Aunt Becky's for dinner. Unfortunately I didn't get many pictures, but we had a great time visiting over a delicious taco dinner - thank you Aunt Becky!

Hanson family photos

Some photos of our get togethers with the Hanson family!

Jennifer, my sister-in-law, and her daughter Shea were in town from San Francisco one weekend. Sawyer and Shea had a great time playing together at the Bloemendal's pool party.

My brother Scott, his daughter Ashleigh, and her son Mason were able to come over for dinner one evening also.

MN State Fair

We got to go to the MN State Fair for Grandma Mary's birthday - here is the view from inside the skyride

The boys liked the tractors, lawn mowers, and kiddie rides best. We were able to sneak in a little shopping inbetween and enjoy pronto pups, sno-cones, and mini-donuts as well. We lasted about 6 hours before we called it a day and headed home to some AC.
