Pizza Party

On Friday we invited some of the boys' friends over for a pizza party.  All the boys had a great time running around, playing, and eating pizza and ice cream.  Thank you Owen, Kipton, and Patrick for coming over - we had a great time!

Snow!

Snow!  We can finally use our snow pants and boots again!  So far we have about 5 inches of fluffy snow, but it is still coming down.  The boys couldn't wait to get outside.  Sawyer loves rolling, throwing, jumping, running, and eating the snow.  Spencer is excited about it when he's inside, but as soon as he gets outside he just stays in one spot the whole time.  Sawyer and I would say, "Spence, come on let's run," and he'd say, "up, up."  These pics capture Spencer's mildly excited, cautious approach with playing in the snow, and Sawyer's expression of pure joy to be out in the white stuff.

Tub Time

Sawyer got a Lightning McQueen shower/shave kit for his birthday.  He has developed quite good technique and thought it would be the right time to let Spence try it out.

Skateboard Tricks

Sawyer loves practicing tricks on the new skateboard he got for Christmas.  Thankfully, since it is so cold out, he has to practice inside on the carpet, and I don't have to worry about him hitting the pavement for a couple months yet.

Spencer got a new big boy bed for Christmas.  Thank goodness I've got three handsome handy men to put it together.

It's finished!  Spencer does a good job staying in bed at night, but naps are a different story.

Sawyer: "Yeah."
Me: "What'd you buy for dinner?"
Sawyer: "Well, I just bought a bunch of cars, and toys and stuff, but
I had coupons for everything so it's ok."

Secret Castles

We had to have a couple boxes shipped back to us from Wisconsin.  The whole week before the boxes came, the boys were asking about their toys that got left behind.  The boys were SO excited to open the big boxes and see all their toys again.  Once everything was out I asked them what they wanted to play with first.  Sawyer said, "let's make secret castles with these big boxes!"

  

After a few days of cardboard fortresses covering our living room floor, they mysteriously dsappeared, and the boys were excited to start playing with their cool new toys again.

The boys got to open up a few more presents from from Grandma and Grandpa Hanson when we got back to PA last Monday.  Sawyer couldn't wait to set up his wall track.  He got to stay up a little late to set it up while Spencer was sleeping.

The next day Sawyer explained to Spencer the "rules" of the wall track.  Sawyer did a good job sharing his wall track with Spence, and making up racing games to play together.
