Dinosaur trading

All the kids nicely playing dinosaurs together...

Spencer proposes a trade to Chai, "Chai can I have your t-rex and you can have my stegosaurus?"
Channing thinks about it...

She sweetly collects all her dinosaurs, backs away and calmly says, "No, no like it."

Spencer asks again, "But Chai-Chai, the stegosaurus is really cool."
Channing, not so sweetly, responds, "NOOOOO, NO LIKE IT!"

Dinosaur trading is serious business around here :)

Labor Day Weekend

We spent Labor Day weekend in Murphy, NC with the Zolar family.  The moms and kids drove up Friday after school and the guys came up together Saturday morning after playing a round of golf in North Georgia.  The weekend was full of playing and relaxing, sunrises, coffee on the patio, meat on the grill, classy chalices, and bubbly moscato.

Liliana and Channing

On Saturday, we drove to Fire's Creek so the kids could climb on rocks and go tubing.  Channing was sound asleep when we got there, and stayed asleep for most of the visit.

Now she's awake!

On Monday, as we were driving back to Roswell, we stopped in Amicalola Falls State Park.  The kids were listening intently to Shannon go over the game plan for our hike.

The boys at the top of the falls

We hiked to the top of the falls on a trail and took the stairs back down.  The kids were troopers - well worth the side trip.

After the hike, we grabbed a quick bite at Moe's and finished the drive home.

Thank you Zolars for a great weekend in the mountains!
