Father-Daughter dance at Gerald Ford

Channing was so excited for her first Father-Daughter dance at school.

She had so much fun getting ready and using mom's make-up and curling iron :)

Derrick matched his outfit to hers :)

The theme was superhero.  Some girls wore superhero outfits and some, like Chai, went the "beauty dress" route as Chai called it.

There was even a cotton candy machine!

What a fun night for Channing and Derrick!

Gia's first visit to the dentist

Gia's first visit to the dentist.  She was a perfect angel the whole time we were there.  Everyone was in love with her sweet voice and cute curls.  :)

Hiking adventure

The kids and I spent a day (back in January) hiking the Coachella Valley Nature Preserve.  It is a perfect place to take four kiddos on an adventure.  We brought binoculars, hiking sticks, cameras, and snacks.  It is fun having so many cool areas to explore right around us!

Sawyer's Dodgeball Party

For Sawyer's "friend" party he wanted to have a huge Dodgeball tournament at the park.  We had about 12-15 kids come in and out of the tournament as it was happening, and they all had a great time.  It was hard to pull them off the field for cake and presents!  Derrick was the ref and did a great job managing the games.

Sawyer's Birthday

The night of Sawyer's 10th birthday we all went out to eat at Shogun's with his good friend Savannah.  It was the little kids' first time at a restaurant where they cook the food right at your table.  The chef was amazing and put on a great show!

Spencer was the most nervous about the flames lol

Gia loved the noodles :)

Sawyer and Savannah have been good friends since second grade.  Savannah is the oldest of three, so we have a great time when our families get together.

Post-Trunk or Treat Celebration

After working really hard to put on a successful Trunk or Treat in October, the church treated us to a nice dinner out!  (This was back in December - I'm just really behind in posting!)  We went to La Quinta Resort and ate at Adobe Grill, it was delicious!

We had to take some shots in front of the beautiful Christmas tree

It was such a fun night out, and the church even paid for babysitters (between our three families we have 12 kids)!

Woodhaven Gala

Derrick and I were able to attend the Woodhaven Gala together!  We had a great time mingling with members and hanging out with some of the staff.  The food is always amazing at the Woodhaven events.

Trunk or Treat

We had a blast at our church's Trunk or Treat event (the Sunday before Halloween).  It was a perfect Fall day for a neighborhood get together.  Gia loved walking around seeing all the trunks!

Not exactly sure what she is for Halloween, but that was what she wanted to wear :)

Sawyer with two of his buddies

The four kiddos:  Channing as Dorothy, Gia as a bubble bath girl, Sawyer as a ninja, and Spencer as a Power Ranger

The Strubs were in charge of all of the food for the event - quite an undertaking!  Derrick and Dave grilled all the hot dogs.
