10 year High School Reunion

On the same night as Kelsey and Jon's wedding was my 10 year high school reunion. It was held at Solera downtown Minneapolis. There were about 80 or so people there from our class of about 430. The lighting was not great for pictures so I only took a couple, and of the couple this was the only non-blurry one.
Allison King, my best friend from first grade, came all the way from D.C. Since graduating we've only seen each other one other time, so it was a lot of fun catching up.

Kelsey and Jon's Wedding

While in MN I got to attend my cousin Kelsey's wedding. The ceremony was held at Faith Lutheran Church of Coon Rapids, and the reception was at the Links of Northfork Golf Course in Ramsey.

Spencer and Kylee

My good friend Janelle had a baby girl 10 days after Spencer was born. Here is a picture of the two kiddos.

Gardening in MN

Sawyer was a big helper picking up sticks after the storm,
sweeping the back patio, and watering the plants.

2 month stats

Spencer had his 2 month doctor's appointment yesterday. He weighed 12 lbs and was 23 1/2 inches long. He is in the 50th% for weight and 75% for height.

He had to get two shots and an oral vaccination.

Another fruity cheerio game

Get a bunch of different size containers and have him put certain
colors in each one. This kept him busy at the table for about half hour.

How to get your 2 yr old to sit still...

Tell him to balance his cheerios on his arm. Sawyer likes to run
around with his snack, and I like him to stay at the table. So, I had
him see how many he could balance on his finger, hand, etc Sawyer
took the challenge very seriously, and didn't drop a single fruity
cheerio. It kept him sitting at the table for about 15 minutes.

Ready for summer

One perk Derrick receives from being the TC at Grande Pines is
deciding what merchandise to carry in the pro-shop. He decided to
switch from Oakley sunglasses to Maui Jim's. As the main contact he
got a complimentary pair and a pair at 80%off for me. Here he is
rockin' his aviators.

An apple a day...or two

I went to go change Spencer and when I came back to the living room
this is what I saw. Sawyer chowing down on two apples that he got from
the drawer in the fridge - oh boy. Love that sweet smile :)

A very important date

Sawyer turned 2 1/2 yesterday! I tried to get him to say 2 1/2 and look at the camera the whole time, but neither really happened :)

June 5th also marks the date Derrick and I started dating back in 2003!

2 months old

Spencer turns two months old today!

When Derrick's away the squirrels will play

We put up a bird feeder back in March. Since then we've seen many blue jays, cardinals, and squirrels. Derrick is on a mission to get rid of the squirrels. So far they aren't too scared of him. Here is a picture of Sawyer looking at the bird feeder with a telescope made out of tires from his loader. The bottom picture shows two squirrels fighting over the bird feeder (one on the bird feeder adn one on the other tree), which is a common scene while Derrick is at work.

My sleepy guys

Sawyer and Spencer fell asleep in the middle of playing cars. Well,
Sawyer was trying to get Spencer to hold the car while explaining the
difference between the two Mustangs - one is silver and one is maroon.
It is a lot of work teaching your little brother all about cars.

We're ready for football

Thank you Stacy and Chase for Spencer's Packer outfit, it matches
Sawyer's jersey from Uncle Ry.

Good friend Gabe

Connie and her son Gabe (3) came over to play last week. Both boys are really into Toy Story, so they spent a lot of time pretending they were Buzz Lightyear. We meet Connie and Gabe at Barnes and Noble one afternoon at the train table. We hit it off right away and so did the boys. They live in the Dr. Phillips neighborhood also.
