Trick-or-Treat

This year Sawyer went as Batman and Spencer was a firefighter. We started out in the neighborhood, but then we did trick-or-treating at the Nittany Mall. It worked out much better to walk around the mall - no coats or gloves, it's warm, and the boys can wander a bit more.

Hitting a couple of houses with Ashley and Patrick before we all went to the mall. Most of the snow is gone already, but it's still pretty cold.

Playing in the snow

All bundled up

Clearly this first snowfall is a pretty big deal here since this is the fourth post about it. Before lunch we went back outside, and they had a blast. When I gave them the five minute warning before going inside Spencer shouted, "Nope!" He has never said that before, so you know it's serious :)

First snowfall!

Last night I made an emergency run to Target and Kohls for winter gear, along with half of State College, to get ready for the potential foot of snow coming our way in the next 24 hours. I was hoping to wake up to an inch or two on the ground already, but it was just raining. The rain finally turned to snow around 8 this morning. Sawyer wanted to get outside right away; he was SO excited to throw snowballs with Dad.

Skillz

Shout out to Sawyer for how well he has been writing his letters
recently. No more connect the dots - he wants to do all on his own.

Good Morning

We woke up to a chilly 31 degrees, thick fog (so thick you can't see
Mt Nittany), and a dusting of frost. Winter is on it's way!

Autumn in Sunset Park

It is so nice to have seasons again! Sunset Park is so thick with trees that you feel like your in a tent when you walk through it, and these autumn colors make it even more incredible (pictures are not doing it justice).

This picture looks sweet, but don't be fooled - it took a lot of coaxing to get them to slowly walk down the path holding hands :)

Way Fruit Farm

On Saturday we went to Way Fruit Farm with some friends from church the Kramers and Hatfields. It was cold and windy, but still a lot of fun.

Golf 101

Some clips of the boys practicing their golf swings...

In this last one Spencer gets baseball and golf mixed up. In the background Sawyer says, "How does he run the bases when he does it?"

Whoa

Sawyer walked into his room after breakfast and said, "Whoa, somebody
needs to clean this up!"

I cracked up laughing because he was so surprised at how messy his
room was - even though he created this mess less than an hour ago.

18 months

Spencer turned 18 months old yesterday! He had his 18 month check-up yesterday also. He weighed 23lbs and was 32 inches in height.
Spencer loves: playing running and chasing games with Sawyer, watching any kind of ball game, puppies, playing any kind of ball game, and trying to do whatever Sawyer does. He says a lot more words and phrases now - love you, all done, set hike, flower, po bear (polar bear), to paste (tooth paste), and cracker.
Spencer is also pretty helpful around the house. He can bring his bowl and spoon to the sink, put his shoes in the shoe closet, and pick up his toys really well. He is also a mischief maker, as I like to call him, because he is constantly getting on top of the dining room table, putting toys in the kitchen sink along with his dishes, and has pushed the perfect combination of buttons on the printer to where it now flashes "refer to documentation" when you turn it on. Oh, but we love our Spence-a-rini-rooster :)

Are you ready for some Football!

Everytime we watch a football game Sawyer says, "See like those
helmets I'm talking about (pointing at the players). Can we get
helmets for me and Spence and Daddy so we can tackle?"
We went to Dicks the next day so he could try one on. Despite being
way too big and way to heavy, he still wanted it and tried convincing
us that he had enough coins saved up to get it.
