Monkey Bars
After t-ball on Saturday, the boys got to play on the playground for a while. Sawyer was really proud that he did the full row of monkey bars all on his own. He asked me to make a video of it so he could show Dad when he got home from work.

Happy Father's Day!
Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful Dads, Grandpas, and Great-Grandpas! The boys got to have another official golf lesson at Toftrees on Sunday. Originally it was just going to be Sawyer, but Spencer was so sad - tears shooting out of his eyes sad - when we dropped off Sawyer that Derrick let him come out too.
Thank you Derrick for always giving the boys extra time, love, and energy - even after a 12 hr work day! Those boys cherish their "Daddy" time.

First Official Golf Lesson
Derrick surprised Sawyer by taking him out onto Toftrees for his first real golf lesson on an actual golf course. Sawyer was beyond excited to get an hour with Dad driving around in the golf cart and hitting shots on the real course. He learned many important rules like no running on the greens and to use an iron in the sand trap and not his driver. It was definitely the highlight of Sawyer's weekend.

Buddies
The boys have been spending a lot of time playing with their neighborhood friends recently. Their are about 10 kids between 1-5 yrs old in our complex, so there is always someone to play with.
Sawyer loves playing with our neighbor Finn. He's 5 years old and really keeps Sawyer on his toes. He is a little faster, a little taller, and has a few more tricks up his sleeve from being a year older (like giving bunny ears in a photo).
Another close buddy is Patrick. He is a few months older than Spencer, and a good match for him. Usually Ashley and I send a lot of time intervening between the two 2-yr olds - they always want eachother's toy, Spence will grab his toy and run off, one of them will throw the other one's toy, Patrick will spout off a one-liner from the show Thomas, and someone will sit in time-out. But, within 5 minutes of leaving Patrick's Spencer will say, "Go back Patrick's Mom?" or "Where's Patrick?" So funny.
At Welch Pool
Sawyer and Spencer remain the best of buddies, and always have eachother's back. Sawyer is a really good teacher and helper to Spencer from holding his hand when he's scared to teaching him how to brush his teeth. Even when one of them gets in trouble the other one can't wait until the time out is over.
Sawyer: "Mom! Spence threw a car at me!"
Me: "Spence come sit in here for time out."
ten seconds later
Sawyer: "Mom, can Spence get out yet, its not fun without him."
Nothing like playing in blue sand with sticky watermelon fingers
After all that hard playing is naptime. They always want to nap next to each other like their camping.
Finally, at the end of the day, it's time for bubble baths and brushing teeth. Then to bed around 8:30 where they crash fast only to wake up at 6:30 the next morning to do it all again :)
