Sawyer was out hitting balls in our backyard for an hour before church this morning.  Spencer was standing at the sliding door cheering at each shot.

  He takes his practice time very seriously :)





Sawyer has an Announcement

20 weeks

Just before heading to our 20 week ultrasound appointment!

Batman

Sawyer runs into the dining room while I'm preparing dinner and says -

Sawyer: "Mom, we each have our Batman masks on!"

Me: "Spence has a Batman mask too?" (I knew we only had one real mask)

Sawyer: "You'll never guess what fits him."

Spencer runs into the dining room on cue wearing ...Mr. Potato Head glasses.

T-Ball

Sawyer started t-ball today!  He is doing a spring session through the YMCA for 3-5 yr olds.  His neighborhood buddies Finn and Owen are playing in this session also.  So far he likes it; he said he had a lot of fun and that the snack his team got was delicious.  Every good coach knows the value in fruit snacks and juice boxes :)

 

In the top picture Sawyer was playing shortstop.

Spencer running around the dugouts at the big field.  He actually did a great job of sitting on my lap and watching for most of the hour.  It was just the last 10 min or so that he was getting restless.

Teresa!

We got a special visit from my good friend Teresa!  Teresa and I spent our UW days together as dorm neighbors and college court neighbors, in Spanish and Italian classes together, and of course MANY countless hours together at Unos.  Teresa and I were working together that fateful day in '03 when Derrick came into Unos for the first time, so she has known and been a great friend to both Derrick and I for many years.

This is the first time our paths have crossed in six years!  State College happened to be a perfect stopping point for her as she was en route from Boston (Harvard Law School - to brag on my incredibly intelligent friend) to Chicago.

Thank you SO much for visiting us!  We miss you already!
